Happy Holidays!

Just wanted to wish everyone

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Been thinking of  my new years resolutions...yep, already.....the only one's I have are...

 1) To be a better blogger.  To post something at least once a week.

2) To make more samples (hmmm, well if I do alot of number 2, then number 1 should be easy.)

LOL  I'm sure my SASSAY friends will comment on the whole #1 #2 thing.  I already came up with a couple of my own.   Hee hee hee...sometimes I crack myself up!

Slow down and read the directions

So you may have noticed that some pictures had and have disappeared.  You may have noticed that.... hmmm didn't she already post about that?

 Welcome to my tech-tard world!

Did any of you when you were in high school have that ONE teacher that said "Good morning everyone, today we will be having a pop quiz! Be sure to write your name at the top of your paper, read all the directions and good luck to you!"  So you write your name (in your most awesomely big huge curly~que writing, and if you were lucky enough to have an I in it you got to dot it with a heart ) and start in on problem one, not reading the directions, of course.  You work feverishly because you all know you wanted to be the first one to complete the pop quiz, after 10 minutes you finally reach the bottom of the paper when you notice that question number 15 is not a question at all but simply states, "If you had read the directions to this quiz you would have known that you only had to write your name on your paper, read all the questions and turn it over once you were done reading.  Always read your directions first."

.....whaaaat.....

....yes, this did happen to me.  And no, I did not learn my lesson.  I still don't read ALL the directions.

I use picasa for my photos on the blog, I was just deleting photos left and right that I didn't need anymore. They were taking up space....just cleaning things up.  Ooops.  Yeah, don't do that. They just delete themselves right off your blog.   Then you retake the pics, put them back in your post. Whew ok we're back to good now.... ummm....wait a minute...now how come my post is todays date and not the original posting date?

I would probably save myself alot of work if I would just slow down and read the directions.

How Divine.....

.....is twine.   Pretty darn so at 10 cents a yard and 10 great colors!  Wrap a box , attach a tag, adorn a card.  What will you do with it?   Also in is Coccoina adhesive.....

if you can pronounce this, yay you! I can't. (makes me think of Cochina! Cochina!)  Anyhow I really like this glue, not only for it's great adhesion but it smells SO GOOD......

Look what I have....

Need I explain further?  It's taking me all I have to not keep one of each for myself.  I have all the stamps with the exception of Wild West.  Now, due to the snow that is coming our way, I may be leaving early today and might not be in tomorrow.  Just going to play it by ear on this one.  If you want me to set one aside for you, email me and I will.  Also in are Teresa Collins Blingage keys and clocks. Have a great snow day!

Following the Paper Trail

I have to give a HUGE shout out to Laura.  You may already know her but if you don't she does webisodes, teaches at Scrapbook Nook,  and is AMAZING.
Tim caught one of her webisodes and asked her to make a couple things....he sent her a big box of new stuff that she had to keep under wraps, bravo to her for that...I couldn't get anything out of her except.."Nobody will be disappointed"....You all HAVE to see this clock she made for a sample in Tim Holtz booth @ CHA.
I lost my breath and was just speechless. (that's a pretty hard thing to do says my Michael).......http://www.followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com/.........ENJOY.

Oh speaking of paper trail made me think of the Paper Chase.  I just wanted to let you know that I will NOT be participating this year. Sorry.

Look what I found...

Ok, I know I saw this idea awhile ago somewhere, I think it was like a shoe one though....but I finally found one I like...TADA!

I got it at Marshall's on Sunday...$14.99!  They only have like a hundred of them.
Many color combos to pick from.  They are double sided so there are 66 pockets to fill.  I think we all have enough goodies to fill those pockets! (not  a problem here.)
Here are all my valentines that I am working on. They all still need some tweeking, but you get the idea.

Show me what you are working on.....you are all inspiration to me!

Wowee!

Holy Cats!!!  You guys are great!  Thank you every one for the wonderful emails and good wishes!  I know that every one wants the comments on.  But, being as tech-savvy as I am.....I DON'T KNOW HOW.  I'll get it figured out though.

The newest Where Women Create just walked through the door this morning, along with Artful Blogging and  Green Craft.

For those of you who were patiently waiting for the Je T'adore embellishments, those are here as well. YUMMAY!

Welcome to my blog!!!

Hi everyone!

Well this is an exciting day ...a blog, FINALLY!   I know, I know.  It has taken me quite sometime to get on board.  I'm glad I'm here, and that you have joined me.  So for my first post I would first like to say THANK YOU from the very bottom of my heart to all of my customers for supporting my store through this awful economic downturn.  I just want you to know that you are all truly appreciated.  It's hard to believe that the store is sneeking up on its 5 year anniversary....time sure has flown.  I look forward to the next 5.

O.k.  So next I would like to introduce you to Lille ~ the newest collection from 7 Gypsies!

My pictures aren't the best (they'll get better).  What I have available is the 6x6 paper pad, the 8x8 paper pad, 12 x 12 sheets, tags and tissue tape!   See the heart?  That is just a little sample I am working on.  I'll post a photo when it's finished.  This paper is just very awesome!  It works for Valentines day without being valentine specific.   This is now my 2nd fave 7g's collection!  The 1st being Conservatory of course!  The rest of the Lille collection is also very wonderful and will be shipping in little bits for the next couple of months....I already have my order in for most all of the goodies.  I'll keep you posted.  Have good day!
